Estate Planning & Probate

PROBATE LAW, ELDER LAW, AND ESTATE PLANNING

Our firms’ attorneys provide experienced advice in the areas of probate law, elder law, estate planning, wills and trust, and estate administration.

Probate Law
Probate law involves the administration of estates. It includes the appointment of a Personal Representative (executor) for an estate that does or does not have a will or cases where you object to the person seeking to be appointed Personal Representative.  It can include cases when you are accusing someone of wrongfully withholding estate assets or the defense of such accusations.  You may need to make a claim against an estate on behalf of a creditor, or be involved in a contested estate accounting.

Elder Law
As your elder law attorneys, we can ease the legal difficulties that occur with aging by preparing documents such as powers of attorney, advance health care directives (living wills), trusts and other documents to avoid the need for a guardian.  We can also assist in bringing or defending against a guardianship and/or conservatorship proceeding.

Estate Planning
Estate planning involves more than just preparing a will.  We can assist in preparing wills, trusts, and other corporate documents to ensure that your assets are distributed as you wish them to be.
